Zhan Zhuang - Standing Meditation
The is one of the many standing still positions used in the internal martial arts of Yiquan, which develops internal strength and vitality.

Yi Quan - Mind-Intent Boxing
(pronounced eee chuen) primarily develops martial power and fighting skill through Zhan Zhuan (Standing Mediation) also known as, "Standing Pole" or "Pile-on" training. Due to the simplicity of these forms and exercises, the same training also serve as the method for improving one's health and well-being. Yiquan is a martial art that highly values cultivating mind intent and energy over practicing "empty forms."

Yiquan is a relatively new system created by the Great Grand Master Wang Xiangzhai. He was highly influenced by Xingyiquan but was also greatly inspired by baguazhang, taijiquan, baihequan (white crane kung-fu) and western boxing. He traveled all over China meeting with many masters, comparing skills with them and exchanging experiences. Wang_standingAfter a lifetime of practice and research into many different kinds of martial arts, Wang became one of the first Chinese masters to teach openly to benefit the public.
